It is extraordinarily ironic that the Maori Party should have been so eager to ally themselves with National before the last election when National is one of the parties that voted in 2004 against Labour giving Maori customary title to the foreshore and seabed.
Apart from Willie Jackson’s swing to the political right, I have nothing but praise for him. Fronted by others, Eye to Eye doesn’t work. He is irreplaceable. If he has sufficient enthusiasm, it should be screened every week of the year ideally.

Yours sincerely

Dear Willie,

I happened to catch your programme this morning and enjoyed it very much. I
am impressed with the way John Key is prepared to include Maori in
discussions and I hope a better understanding continues to grow between us
as time goes on.

You talked about the issues surrounding the flag - I wondered if you aware
of my website www.coolnz.net which offers a solution to the whole flag
debate (one I hope will eventually be acceptable to Maori, Pakeha, and all
New Zealanders). Please have a look when you have time.

Thanks,

Patricia Roberts
