This programme was disgusting.He was supposed to be interviewing John Key but didn't let him get a word in! When John was trying to tell him what his vision was he ridiculed him and harped on about Lockwood Smith and Murray McCully etc.I think he should give Helen Clark the same treatment next week.I wait with baited breath!!!

Credit to Willie for trying to do a hard-line, tough interview. But you went way over the top. Towards the end, Willie was asking a question and then interrupting to tell John what the answer should be!

The Interviewer constantly interrupted and didn’t allow John Key to answer any questions.



What is the point of interviewing or asking questions if you are not interested in a reply? It is, at least, bad manners and a waste of time if you don’t ask questions that you really want an answer too.



John Key showed extreme patience and tenacity to sit through that so-called interview. I am not a national party supporter but I thought the Interviewer had very poor interviewing skills and very bad manners.

I need to express my disappointment at the way this morning's guest (John Key) was treated on eye to eye.

I feel that the interviewer wasn't objective, and almost biased. Although I am not a National supporter, I consider that he should have been given the fair opportunity to respond appropriately to questions asked.

I am interested to see if next week's guest, the Prime Minister, is treated the same way.

I thought your interview with John Key was great. I laughed my head off
as you had him squirming big time. Your interview is a refreshing
change from the patsy nonsense we get from Guyon Espiner this morning on
Agenda TV. The interview with Guyon was a party political broadcast on
behalf of the National party.
I expected Key to roll over any minute and the whole lot of them Guyon,
Rorden Christie and the lot to pat him on the belly like a poodle.
Good on you. Best interview I have seen in a long time.
Good to get this out into the open before the election so the Maori
party can see that they cannot trust National at all.

please get a new interviewer for this program .iwanted to hear what john key had to say this morning but willie seems to think the program is all about him,he never stopped butting in on key,i doubt we got more than 2 or 3 full answers to any questions in the whole show;if he doesnt give helen the same treatment next week it will show us all he is compromised as a serious interviewer,,cheers don ..ps i got the times wrong this morning and sat and watched marae for the first time and was highly impressed with that interviewers controlled running of the program ,all questions answered ,,great show .

I watched the last five minutes of the interview.
I think your station is doing itself a disservice by having Wille Jackson on the programme. He asks a question then never gives the person a chance to answer it, as he shouts over them asking more questions. He does the same thing on the afternoon session on Radio 702. That is also supposed top be a talk back programme, but all you get from him is insults and foul language if the caller does not agree with him.Then they get cut off. He really is a brainless twerp.
Use John Tamahere who appears to be more intelligent and has more manners than that jerk Willie Jackson. I will not be tuning in again to Eye to eye (One sided Mouth) or Radio 702.

Morning;

After pressing the off button during several recent programmes I feel compelled to contact tvnz today.
Please, please, please, tell the presenter! - when he is asks his guests a question, please let them answer. I think 'Agenda' would be a far better experience (for me at least) if when the guests, when endeavouring to answer questions put to them they aren't constantly talked over by the presenter and we, the viewing public can actually get to hear their answers. Over recent weeks with political party guests on I have been disgusted with the constantly deteriorating quality of the programme (due to the presenter's constant beligerant behaviour).

Firstly I would like to say how appalling I feel the interview went with John Key.

Your host kept referring to racist comments by the National party, well he should sit back and take a close look at his comments and views.

As an interviewer he needs to be taught that a questions is meant to be put to one person and then close your mouth and let the other person answer, not ask the question then over talk the conversation and tell them what he thinks it should be, this is not a two way conversation, it is my way only!

Take a look at the dictionary for the meaning of conversation and he will be suppressed and what he learns.

Your host obviously has a real passion for the Labour party as most of the questions were asked then answered in such a way that John couldn't get his point across even if he wanted to.

It will be interesting to see if he has the same approach next week, or will it be all in favour of Helen Clark, and the Maori parties views?

As a TV host you are supposed to be non bias and ask questions that are relevant and let your guest answer.
I feel that the entire conversation was controlled by the personnel feelings of the host and not in the best interest of the country or the political parties involved, and as such the host should not be allowed to control a single minded TV presentation.

John Key took time out to attend the show, at the very least he should have been given the respect as a person, to be allowed to answer without being constantly over talked, and told this is what it is.

Or is this the single minded views of the entire production crew, this is how we think and feel so we will not allow your views to be represented.

John Key should be commended on his ability to stay cram and cool while being rudely over talked by your host.

I have been an avid watcher of the show for some time. It has a great format and usually I get a chance to hear everyone's views and watch a lively debate.

I tuned in this morning to watch John Key and listen to his opinions. However I found Willie did not give him a chance to answer, and followed every question with personal attacks on John Key's character to score points. The essence of debate is allowing each side to speak, and I wonder why he was brought on the show for his views if the audience was not able to hear them. I watched Agenda first, and found that at least on that show you could hear the different points of view.

I must inquire whether you are going to use the same technique on Helen Clark next week.
